At 7 PM ET, polls started closing in states in the eastern and central time zones, bringing wins in Vermont and Virginia for Joe Biden and in Indiana, Kentucky, and South Carolina for Donald Trump.
Biden will get three electoral votes in Vermont and 13 in Virginia, for a total of 16.
Trump will get 11 electoral votes in Indiana, eight in Kentucky, and nine in South Carolina, for a total of 28. Expect him to try to declare victory on this basis.
