Election Day is finally here: Protect your vote!

Election Day is finally here: Protect your vote!

Almost 97 million people had voted by Monday morning, on track to reach 100 million by Election Day. That's doubled the early vote of 2016, and about 71% of the total ballot count from that year. That's HUGE! Good job everyone who helped make that happen. With early voting records broken across the country, Election Day voting is going to be huge which is going to create logistical problems for a lot of polling places. With Trump on the ballot there will be voter intimidation issues in many locations. That's why 42,000 legal volunteers with Election Protection are staffing 30 command centers across the country, ready to handle any voting emergency. Remember this number: 1-866-687-8683. You can call or text to it.

It’s #ElectionDay! Wear a mask, thank your poll workers, and make your voice heard. If you have any questions or concerns while voting today, give the Election Protection Hotline a call at 1-866-687-8683. #WhenWeAllVote pic.twitter.com/xqKv6iVeDi

In addition, VoteAmerica is there to help as well, a text away at 48298. They don’t have the same team of lawyers, but can provide all the information you need to navigate the process where you live.

TODAY IS ELECTION DAY. If you have any questions about voting you can text HELPLINE to 48298 and be connected to a volunteer trained to help navigate voting rules & regulations in all 50 states & DC. Both organizations have websites to help with basic questions about where your polling place is, what you need to bring with you, etc.: Election Protection and VoteAmerica. If you or someone you are helping has a question rather than a problem voting and you can use the websites, do that instead of calling, to make sure that those lines remain free.

As always, if you or someone you’re helping is in line when the polls close tonight: Stay. In. Line.
